Check's In the Mail? Planet Confirm It

Irving, TX (PRWEB) July, 2003 -- At the National Association of Credit Managers (NACM) Southwest Expo, iGneiTe, A Dallas based consulting company, unveiled a tracking service called Planet Confirm to enable companies to track the routing and delivery of regular mail through the US Postal Service (USPS).

On the heels of a successful implementation of Planet Confirm at a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC), iGneiTe provided information on how the technology works and how companies are using the service to improve collections processes and customer service.

The Planet Confirm technology enables companies to track inbound and outbound mail traffic through the United States Postal Service (USPS). For credit professionals, the technology can be used to track the delivery of invoices and payments to and from customers, enabling customer service to verify the "check is in the mail".

The Planet Confirm technology is built on the USPS Confirm subscription service, which allows companies to provide a special barcode, called a Planet Code, on individual mail pieces for tracking throughout the mail system. As the mail traverses the system to its destination, the letters are scanned at each mail facility and the scan information is provided automatically to the company on a frequent basis.
